Tips to buy a digicam

Who doesn’t want to have a digital camera with top-notch picture quality? Pictures are timeless and they provide the true essence to our life. After a few years when we see these pictures it should really have the charm that it used to have a few years back. How to choose a digital camera that will provide you best quality images and make your photos immortal?

Here are some of my tips that will help you select a great digicam:
You will need to select a camera with high image resolution. Higher number of pixels of a camera helps to produce better quality images. But just having a higher mega pixel count is not sufficient. Your camera needs to have a high spatial resolution as well. Most of the times my friends complain that their camera has the highest mega pixel and spatial resolution yet the clarity of the images in not up to the mark. These are not the only 2 elements that need to be considered, you need to check the sensor size and quality of the lens as well. People tend to miss the lens completely while selecting a digicam. Your camera can have the best pixel count but if it doesn’t have a high quality lens then it’s no good. You also need to verify what level of optical zoom your camera supports.

Understand the different aspect ratios supported by your digicam and then check the sensor size. Some of these sensor sizes are best tuned to specific aspect ratios. You need to have that knowledge before using your digital camera. What type of digicam do you need? Some people might prefer a compact digicam, some might prefer to have a bridge camera or a single lens reflex camera while most professional photographers might prefer high-end Digital SLRS. It all depends on your choice and type of photos you are going to shoot. I personally prefer the compact cameras for outdoor shooting and still photography. I personally find it quite stable and easy to use.

I also have a waterproof camera that helps me to shoot high quality images under water. But unfortunately, I never had an opportunity to shoot with this expensive camera.

So, before you select your digicam always make sure what you are expecting out of it.
