What really Drives Google Search?

There are millions of websites spread across the web. Every day you will find hundreds of new websites entering the web space and it becomes more and more difficult to find the ones that are genuine and really valuable. The task of Search Engines like Google has been piled up on a daily basis. Imagine that you query for ‘Treatments on migraine’ and Google comes up with ‘What is Migraine?’ at the top of search results. Now that could really piss you off. That’s why search engines really need to keep up with the ever increasing number of websites and provide you the most valuable search results matching your search criteria. Search Engines have crawlers or spiders that navigate across websites and index various web pages based on relevance and usage of keywords. Relevance is the key as that creates value. Density of keywords is a means of establishing relevance. The current algorithms check both aspects. The appearance of keywords in a web page will be evaluated by the search engine. You can’t just stuff it as much as you like. You need make it sectional or paragraph-wise. More weight is given to web pages that have keywords in their title. The age of particular website and the strength of a domain play a very important role in determining the rank of a website. There are many websites which direct you to some another web page for its content. Google algorithms are designed to keep such websites out of search. Today, the reputation of your website on social networking is another parameter that drives the search engine algorithms. The number of distinct users liking and sharing your website improves the websites page rank on Google. The sharing and liking is a measure of the website’s authority on the web. So there is a good weightage assigned to it. Google consistently updates it’s algorithms to get the best for its users. There is something called as featured ads on Google. This is for those sites that need to market themselves to the top of the search results for a specific location. They are willing to pay Google to be at the top. However, if there are multiple players willing to pay for the same keywords then the web page with rich content will get priority. Featured ads are a means of generating more business for Google. The main goal of Google is to give best possible search results to its users. http://expertscolumn.com/content/do-panda-and-penguin-updates-provide-real-justice-web-pages http://expertscolumn.com/content/how-market-your-website-or-blog-post-penguin-updates http://expertscolumn.com/content/power-guest-posts
